Please note: all border passes must be completed prior to boarding the Great Southern in Adelaide. You will be asked to confirm that you have completed border declarations for each state and have been approved to pass.
South Australia:
Please complete a border declaration at least 7 days prior to entering South Australia.
New South Wales:
At the time of publishing, New South Wales did not require any border declarations for people travelling from South Australia. Please check this website to review the latest information.
Australian Capital Territory:
At the time of publishing, the Australian Capital Territory did not require any border declarations for people travelling from regional New South Wales. Please check this website to review the latest information.
Queensland:
At the time of publishing, Queensland requires visitors to fill out a border declaration form if in the past 14 days they have been overseas or to a COVID hotspot.
Hotspots are regularly updated and can be viewed here.

Journey Beyond Rail Expeditions takes the safety of all our guests seriously. During check-in, you will be asked the below questions for COVID tracing purposes.
Temperature checking in Adelaide and Brisbane will also take place prior to boarding. If you have a medical condition that may result in a high temperature, please provide a letter from your doctor.
COVID health authorities require Journey Beyond to collect the below information for contact tracing purposes. The information is provided to our Off Train Excursion providers for the sole purpose of contact tracing.
