After settling into life on the train, it’s time to alight for your first Off Train Experience. Enjoy a guided coach tour through the scenic town of Halls Gap, positioned in the Grampians National Park and a great base from which to explore this spectacular corner of Australia. From Halls Gap, continue to Boroka Lookout to gaze across panoramic vistas over the east of the Grampians and over the town of Halls Gap.

It’s a short five-minute walk to two viewing platforms and from here, you’ll also be able to spot nearby Lake Bellfield.

Take in the breathtaking views in the late afternoon sunlight before returning to the train for a late supper. This experience is ideal for guests who would like a leisurely taste of the Grampians’ beauty and delightful Halls Gap.

Tour duration (including travel time) is approximately 2.5 hours.

Recommended Fitness Level: Low – coach tour with minimal walking, must be able to navigate coach stairs.

VENUS BATHS WALK

After a leisurely day on the train and a sumptuous meal, now is the time to stretch your legs. This Off Train Experience takes you into the Grampians town of Halls Gap, where you’ll meet an experienced guide, ready to impart their knowledge of this spectacular region.

From here, set out on the Venus Baths Loop Walk – a relaxed 2.5 kilometre walk that crosses over Stony Creek and immerses walkers in the peace and tranquillity of Mother Nature. Even in the summer months, there is water in the deeper rock pools.

Invigorated from your time in this magnificent landscape, return to the train for a well-deserved late supper.

Tour duration (including travel time) is approximately 2.5 hours.

Recommended Fitness Level: Medium – walking tour duration 2 hours on bush walking paths and some uneven ground.

Nestled at the base of the Grampians National Park a warm and cosy welcome awaits you at Pomonal Estate. This family run establishment produces award-winning wines, microbrews, and ciders so there’s something for everyone.

Adam and Pep pride themselves on producing beautiful regional wines, a delicious range of small batch, locally crafted beers, and ciders, as well as supporting local producers by integrating local produce and products throughout the experience.

Whether you like wine, beer or cider, you’re sure to find something to savour – including chocolate and breathtaking views.

FALLEN GIANTS EPICUREAN EXPERIENCE (NEW EXPERIENCE)

Building the legacy of Australia’s great wine regions, Fallen Giants Vineyard rests on the steep Eastern slopes of the Grampians. The family-owned vineyard, founded in 1969, has farmed organically since 2018 and is certified organic with NASAA (National Association for Sustainable Agriculture Australia)– likely the first in the Grampians to be so. Here, you will be greeted by the friendly Fallen Giants team, be introduced to the site’s 50-year history of wine making, and experience a full wine-tasting, inclusive of Rose, Riesling, Premium Shiraz, Estate Shiraz, and Cabernet Sauvignon, accompanied by fresh local produce platters. Your time at Fallen Giants includes a guided tour and introduction to the site’s 50-year history of wine making.

Fallen Giants Winery

GRAMPIANS FROM ABOVE HELICOPTER FLIGHT

Depart from Fallen Giants Vineyard via luxury coach after a delightful epicurean experience. Soon, you’ll be soaring over the ancient shoreline of Grampians National Park. You’ll hear delightful and informative commentary about the area’s history, including how it was named, and be given insight into the area’s plentiful flora and fauna.

Take in the majestic scenery while soaring past Mount William, which is the largest peak in the park, as well as taking in views of Lake Bellfield, Lake Fyans, the Sera ranges, open farming land and more.
