Travel through World heritage listed Kakadu National Park, drive across the causeway of the East Alligator River and enter Arnhem Land. Cahills Crossing is a great place to spot crocodiles sunning themselves on the banks or in the water waiting to catch a barramundi. With special permission from the local Aboriginal people, you will visit several sites in Minkinj Valley with its towering escarpment to view unusual rock art, stop at Red Lily Billabong and spend time at Injalak Arts and Craft Centre. Margaret River Busselton Jetty and Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse

Travelling south you head towards the iconic Busselton Jetty, the longest timber jetty in the southern hemisphere. Indulge in a lunch of local Margaret River produce with complimentary beer and cider tastings at one of Margaret River’s oldest breweries. Continue south for a visit to a local winery. Next head out to explore Mammoth Cave on a guided tour. Pass through the stunning Boranup Forest and be awestruck at the size of these massive Karri trees. Visit Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse the dividing point between the Southern and Indian Oceans. Make a brief stop in the township of Margaret River where you have free time to stroll the main street. Travel back towards Perth with an opportunity to purchase dinner along the way.

Margaret River Escape

Day 1: Drive from Perth through the charming seaside towns of Mandurah, where we’ll take a coffee break at a café by the foreshore; Bunbury where we’ll visit the Featured Wood Gallery & Museum, then onto Busselton where we stop for a delicious lunch. On arrival to Margaret River and visit a local artisan. Visit the McLeod family farm to see mobs of Western Grey Kangaroos in their natural environment, we might even meet Neil’s friendly horses. Before settling into your accommodation, we take a drive to the coast for spectacular views of world class surf breaks. Overnight accommodation included. Day 2: Spend the day tasting wine, craft beer, coffee, cheese, olive oil and condiments, and everyone’s favourite – chocolate! Lunch is at the award winning Cowaramup Brewery, where we’ll also enjoy a complimentary crafted brew, or some lovely local wine. We return for the evening to your accommodation at around 5:00pm, where you’ll be able to relax after a busy day and dine at your leisure. Day 3: Explore the region’s stunning scenery and fantastic natural and cultural attractions today. Head to Redgate Beach, where you’ll hear stories of shipwrecks and other tales of the region. The tour goes underground at the spectacular Mammoth Cave, one of just a few caves in the south west which contains fossils. A scenic drive through the majestic Boranup Forest will take us to Boranup Gallery, showcasing beautiful and creative wood designs and furniture. Then it’s time to head to Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse, where we’ll take a guided tour and spot the point where the Southern and Indian oceans meet. Watch out for whales – southern right, humpback and blue whales can often be seen from the towers! We stop for lunch and a tea or coffee at the Deck Chair Café in Augusta, before hitting the road and travelling through wine and dairy country, back to Margaret River. You’ll have some free time in Margaret River town to stroll around or pick-up a special memento or gift to take home. Then it’s all aboard again, as we farewell Margaret River at around 3-3:30pm and drive back to Perth.

5 hours A great taster tour taking in Perth and Fremantle affording the opportunity to drive around these iconic cities with various stops. Starting in Perth, the tour takes in all major attractions of the revitalised Perth CBD, including the Western Australian Cricket Ground (WACA), newly opened Elizabeth Quay and the Perth Mint. Then it’s on to Kings Park Botanical Gardens, where you will have time to experience a walk through the tree canopies on the Tree Top Walkway or take in the stunning views from the war memorial back over the City Skyline. Continue through to the affluent Western Suburbs of Perth, known as Millionaire’s Row before reaching Cottesloe Beach where the Indian Ocean sparkles. Travel on into historic Fremantle viewing the impressive facades of this heritage listed city including a brief stop before returning to Perth.

Pinnacles New Norica & Wildflower

Travel through the Swan Valley to New Norcia, Australia’s only monastic town, renowned for its Benedictine Abbey. Drive through the town and learn of the intriguing history and culture of the community. Visit a produce shop for the chance to purchase Benedictine Community goods including olive oil, fruit, wine, New Norcia nut cake and breads. Alternatively, visit the museum and art gallery. From here you will visit the Western Wildflower Farm for a brief talk about how wildflowers are dried and exported. Continue to the lobster fishing town of Cervantes and visit the Pinnacles Desert where you enjoy an easy paced walk through these mystical limestone pillars. Wildflower viewing stops are only made when in season.

A Town Like Alice

Tour the sights of ‘The Alice’. Visit the School of the Air, stop at the Telegraph Station and visit the Royal Flying Doctors Service. There’s also a stop at the Alice Springs Reptile Centre, where you can get up close and touch some of the lizards and snakes of Central Australia. The tour concludes with a panoramic view of the township from the top of ANZAC Hill.

Wave Rock Outback Experience

Travel towards Wave Rock, with a brief stop at York, the first township founded in the Avon Valley. A casual lunch is provided upon arrival at the accommodation, followed by an afternoon at leisure to explore. Enjoy a two course dinner before a private after hours visit to Wave Rock complete with star gazing. Day two provides an opportunity to tour the historic homesteads, working farm and restored car museum. Just before lunch, rejoin the day tour. Visit Hippo’s Yawn, break for a barbecue lunch and continue onto the main highlights, the spectacular Wave Rock and Gnamma Holes. Your experience continues with a visit to The Humps and Mulka’s Cave. A short stop in the quaint country town of Babakin for afternoon tea (own expense) with a mid evening arrival back into Perth.

As you head east from Perth, enjoy morning tea (own expense) at historic York, the first township founded in the Avon Valley. Followed by a visit to Hippo’s Yawn, a rock formation which resembles a hippo yawning. Break for a buffet lunch at the Wildflower Shop. See the spectacle of Wave Rock and the ancient Gnamma Holes. Whilst here visit a wildlife Park or view the unique Antique Lace Collection. Leaving Wave Rock visit The Humps and Mulka’s Cave. Return to Perth via a different route and stop at the quaint country town of Babakin for afternoon tea prepared by the Country Women’s Association (own expense). Wildflower viewing stops are made in season.
